Sollas was founded in 1948 in Wormer, near Amsterdam, at the “Verwachting” warehouse. At the time, the company, known as “Machinefabriek Verwachting,” was engaged in the repair and maintenance of machinery in the Zaanse industry. They quickly began developing their first packaging machines, which were named “Sollas” by Cees Sol, taking inspiration from welding technology. In 1978, the company changed its name to Sollas to become more recognizable in international trade. With our headquarters in Wormer and offices in France, Germany, and the United Kingdom, we have become an international player in the packaging industry. We work with around fifty partners and distributors worldwide, providing exceptional after-sales service and support. As a company, we have delivered more than 15,000 machines, both standard and custom-made. With continuous innovation and improvements, we are a leader in the field of end-of-line and overwinding machines.
