ABN Apparatebau Nittenau GmbH was founded in 1982. ABN company took over the compressor and vacuum pump production of AOA Gauting, which had been producing on the company's land in Zweigwerk until then. Until then, AOA was operating in the fuel pumps sector in the aerospace sector. This know-how has also enabled the development of oil-free membrane technology for compressors and vacuum pumps. In 1988, the then Managing Director Karl Heigl initiated the active marketing of the environmentally friendly and durable membrane technique at ABN. ABN proudly today; can say that it is the pioneer of this technique all over the world and that it makes a serious contribution to the protection of the environment thanks to its oil-free technology.
