THE EFFECT: Lead compounds are added to the fuel in order to prevent engine pinking and valve damage. Older cars therefore have to run on leaded fuel some or all the time. THE ADVANTAGES AT A GLANCE: - Forms a protective layer on the valve heads and valve seats - Protects outlet valves against wear - Works against deposits on valves and sparking plugs - Protects the environment by lead-free operation ERC Lead Substitute is designed for regular application and for all grades of unleaded petrol. Dosing 1:1000/concentrate (e.g. content of 250ml-dosing bottle is sufficient for 250 liters petrol fuel).
