Dressing should be performed when the wheel surface is glazed or fitted, or no longer cuts. Undesirable residues such as steel particles and brazing are removed by dressing. The dressing also manages to remove a portion of the bonding material which provides an effective cutting process. Correction is something done to prevent unwanted wear. Four dress types are Impregnated diamond dressers, Forming diamond dressers, Multi-point diamond dressers and Single-point diamond dressers.
